Carrigtwohill (county)

Plaque in Carrigtwohill to Two of three men shot by British forces in 1921. The other man shot was Richard Flynn, they were shot in reprisal for the killing of a number of British troops, RIC and Black and tans the night before.

It states: “I nDil chuimne ar John Ryan and Michael Ahern Cruely Murdered by British Forces on May 15th 1921 “while Ireland holds these graves Ireland unfree shall never be at peace” P H Pearse. An Phoblacht Abú”
